Trivia:
The plan was for Chris Benoit to win the ECW World Championship. However when news broke out that Benoit killed his wife, his son and himself, Johnny Nitro won the belt. Bearing in mind news of Benoit's killing spree didn't leak out until the Monday, fans presumed that Benoit pulled out due to a family emergency as he told WWE this the night before the event. moreSoundtrack:

This was a very interesting PPV, as for the first time in WWE history, all 9 titles would be on the line in one night.
FIRST MATCH- LANCE CADE & TREVOR MURDOCH {CHAMPIONS} VS. MATT & JEFF HARDY FOR THE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP I didn't watch the start off this match, but I saw enough of it to rate it. It was an okay match, but went a bit slow & sloppy. Murdoch & Cade win after nailing their double-team finisher Sweet & Sour on Jeff Hardy to retain their WWE Tag Team titles. 4/10
SECOND MATCH- CHAVO GUERRERO {CHAMPION} VS. JIMMY WANG YANG FOR THE WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP I liked the psychology in this match, as it tells the story quite a bit between these two. I was really hoping for Jimmy Wang Yang to win, as Chavo is a disgrace as a champion. Chavo retains his title after a Frog Splash. 5/10
THIRD MATCH- SANTINO MARELLA {CHAMPION] VS. UMAGA FOR THE WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP This wasn't really a match, it was more of a beatdown on Marella. Umaga beats Santino Marella at the count of 5 & gets disqualified, resulting Santino to still be the champion. After the match, Umaga nails a Splash from the top, then his finisher the Samoan Spike. 2/10
FOURTH MATCH- DEUCE & DOMINO {CHAMPIONS]W/CHERRY VS. JIMMY 'THE SUPERFLY' SNAUKA & SERGAENT SLAUGHTER IN A TAG TEAM OPEN CHALLENGE MATCH FOR THE WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Very sloppy, slow & a bit of a boring match, I would have preferred the Major Brothers instead. Deuce & Domino win after nailing their finisher to retain the WWE Tag Team titles. After the match, Deuce & Domino beat down their opponents, until old time partners {forgot their names] come & clear the champions out of the ring. 2/10
FIFTH MATCH- MVP {CHAMPION} VS. RIC FLAIR FOR THE WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP From the duration of the match I saw, it was pretty slow & sloppy, but a bit entertaining, but not that much. MVP retains his US title after hitting Ric Flair with his finishing move the Playmaker. 3/10
SIXTH MATCH- CM PUNK VS. JOHNNY NITRO FOR THE VACATED ECW CHAMPIONSHIP IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CHRIS BENOIT VS. CM PUNK, BUT JOHNNY NITRO IS REPLACING BENOIT, AS BENOIT CANNOT COMPETE DUE TO FAMILY EMERGENCIES A short match, but the outcome of it I was surprised, as I would have never imagined Nitro to win the title after nailing his finishing move on CM Punk to win the vacated ECW Championship. 4/10
SEVENTH MATCH- EDGE {CHAMPION} VS. BATISTA {CHA IN A LAST CHANCE MATCH FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP IF BATISTA LOST, HE CAN NEVER HAVE A WORLD TITLE SHOT AS LONG EDGE IS THE CHAMPION This was a great entertaining match, it just makes you keep guessing until the end. During the match, Edge tried to retain his title by a countout, but the GM Teddy Long did not allow it. So the match continues as, Batista nails a Batista Bomb on Edge to the outside. Just as he puts Edge in the ring, he gets counted out, losing the match, & losing his title shot as well as Edge is still the World Heavyweight Champion. 5/10
EIGHT MATCH- MELINA {CHAMPION} VS. CANDICE MICHELLE FOR THE WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP Short match, not really a fan of Diva matches, but thank God that Candice Michelle won, as Melina is the worst champion ever. Candice wins after her spinning kick to become the new WWE Women's Champion. 3/10
NINTH MATCH- JOHN CENA {CHAMPION} VS. BOBBY LASHLEY VS. RANDY ORTON VS. MICK FOLEY VS. KING BOOKER IN A OPEN CHALLENGE FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP A great match filled with excitement & also a bit of suspense. Hands down to all these 5 men for pulling a classic Night Of Champions event. John Cena survives dramatically after nailing an FU on Mick Foley for the win & to retain his WWE Championship. 6/10
It was an okay event despite it being Night Of Champions as every title was on the line for the first time ever in WWE history. Good event, although some of the matches were rushed & did not take that long, but still an acceptable event.
Overall I'll give it 6/10 & a D+
