Decent story, with disappointing results, 14 March 2008
5/10

I was SO excited about Pete coming back, I really expected this episode to be much better than it was.

Instead, it was a story that seemed to have been originally written for a one-off character (perhaps another DC comics alumnus; won't say which one, that would be too much of a spoiler), but altered slightly to allow Pete's return; then altered a lot to make sure that the entire episode revolved around GUM!

I don't mind that there were product placements, they've done that before and it didn't distract from the story much (maybe you roll your eyes for a couple seconds, but this time they were riffing off of the company's slogans).

All in all, this episode had so much potential, completely WASTED. Sam Jones left the show because his character was being wasted; I guess we can say good bye to Pete for good.
