When I saw this in theatres, so many people laughed at such inappropriate/non funny times. I was pretty shocked.
Throughout the movie, I was crying quite a bit. There was alot of emotion in the film, however, I noticed not many other people were crying. Alot of people laughed for the majority of the movie. While I agree that there were plenty of hilarious scenes, sometimes it was just not right. Scenes like;
Charlotte at the wedding: As soon as she started defending Carrie and telling Big "NO!", I started crying. It was so intense and Charlotte's pain and fury was so powerful, and some people just laughed at it. I thought it was really stupid and insensitive.
Carrie being fed by Sam: In Mexico, when Carrie is being fed by Sam. It was a beautiful moment and Sam's concern and love was so genuine, and people laughed. It was a cute scene, like Carrie was a baby, but I didn't think it was laughable.
