In multiple interviews, the main Greig Weisman has alluded to this happening. If so, this direction in a plot will be a first for WB Saturday morning cartoons.

No, the Kingpin will not be in this series as he is owned by the company that produced the Daredevil film. Hence, this is why a relatively unknown in Spider-Man's rogue gallery (The Big Man) has taken his place.

At this point, it's not 100 percent clear. The Big Man seems to be L.Thompson Lincoln (Tombstone), as opposed to the classic portrayal of the character where his secret identity was Daily Bugle reporter Frederick Foswell. Foswell, however, led Peter Parker to Tombstone and seemed relatively calm when the Rhino stood beside him on the elevator, hinting at the character's alter ego. It's worth mentioning though, that Tombstone and the Big Man are both performed by Kevin Michael Williamson, and the same background music plays during scenes with both characters. Lincoln constantly denies that he is The Big Man however, and series producer Greg Wiseman has indicated the relative implausibility of Foswell, a reporter, secretly moonlighting as a crime boss would not be a good fit with the current take on the characters.

Teletoon, Canada's 24-hour animation network, will begin airing the Spectacular Spider-Man this September. A sneak preview of the show will air Sunday August 24, at 8:30 am, followed by the beginning of it's weekly run on Sunday, September 7, in it's regular time slot of 10:30 am.

When can we expect dvds?

A DVD collecting the first three episodes of the Spectacular Spider-Man will be released on September 9th, 2008. It will re-edit the episodes to form a mini-movie, and will be presented in a widescreen format that the series was originally produced in. Future volumes will most likely follow, while the season will eventually be collected as a whole following the release of the series in this format.

Producer/writer Greg Wiseman has confirmed that production is underway on the second season, but will not be ready to air until December. It seems unlikely that the new episodes will premiere in December however, and, coupled with the fact that there is not currently a network announced to air the series this fall, the shows will likely begin airing sometime next year.

Who is the Green Goblin?

It's not entirely clear at this point in the series, however, there have been numerous hints in the series to indicate that it's not Harry and that merely revealing Harry as the Goblin was no more than a red herring.
