To start let me say this show is supposed to be stupid and silly. If
you want something intelligent and intellectually stimulating perhaps
you should be watching something other than cartoons aimed at a younger
audience. These are for kids, and for the parents who watch them with
there kids. That being said, the show is actually quite funny. The idea
that for a small amount of money ($1.98 as stated in the intro) you
could alter your surroundings or those who control it for the
better...usually. The results are not always what Todd and Riley expect
and sometimes the situation is made even more complicated if not much
worse by the replacement "Adult" that is sent. Each episode is fairly
short but a cartoony object lessons are played out in each one.

When I first saw this show, my reaction was 'WTF?' The animation style
wasn't attractive to me in the least and the whole idea of replacing
adults all the time was the worst ideas for a plot. However, after it's
been on for, what, a year now?, it's grown on me.
The animation, despite it's style being different from normal Disney,
is smooth. I actually like the backgrounds, but that's more my artistic
style talking, because I think it's cool you can see paint strokes.
But, anyway, the jokes on this show are, for the most part, not the
best. Though there will be something that comes up once in awhile that
are truly funny- though I also have a weird sense of humor. The
characters, actually, are decent. Yes, they're rather flat characters,
but each have distinct personalities, at least. The plots each episode
are rather weak, though recently they've gotten a little bit better.
One thing I really like about this show are continuities. For example,
early episodes call the school George Washington Middle School. Then,
after an episode when Todd insists the first presidents last name was
Stapler, the school has been called George Stapler Middle School.
I certainly don't watch it religiously, or even when it just happens to
be on. But I don't cringe watching it like some others, especially
since it's improved just a little.

*Gosh awful. I'm not sure if you took the Lord's name in vain or not,
but I feel the need to correct you. And I do agree with the lesson from
the show, calling someone to make your problems go away. but it's for
the fun of it! and some of the material is funny. but the moral of the
show, in my opinion, is that you should be grateful for what you have.
okay, so I've got 4 and a half more lines to fill and so I am just
going to type randomness.
Every time I think I'm closer to the heart Of what it means to know
just who I am I think I've finally found a better place to start But no
one ever seems to understand
I need to try to get to where you are Could it be, your not that far
You're the voice I hear inside my head, the reason that I'm singing I
need to find you I gotta find you You're the missing piece I need, the
song inside of me I need to find you I gotta find you
Oh yeah Yeah yeah
You're the remedy I'm searching hard to find To fix the puzzle that I
see inside Painting all my dreams the color of your smile When I find
you I'll be alright I need to try to get to where you are Could it be,
your not that far
You're the voice I hear inside my head, the reason that I'm singing I
need to find you I gotta find you You're the missing piece I need, the
song inside of me I need to find you I gotta find you
Been feeling lost, can't find the words to say Spending all my time
stuck in yesterday Where you are is where I want to be Oh next to
you... and you next to me Oh I need to find you... yeah
You're the voice I hear inside my head, the reason that I'm singing I
need to find you I gotta find you (yeah) You're the missing piece I
need, the song inside of me I need to find you I gotta find you
You're the voice I hear inside my head, the reason that I'm singing I
need to find you (I need to find you) I gotta find you (I gotta find

Okay, I haven't been too impressed with some of the recent cartoons
Disney has churned out, but this is one of the better things I've seen.
The animation is so-so, for a while I thought that everyone had a
sunburnt nose. The characters are like most children's characters. Not
too much depth, but they have distinct personalities. I haven't seen
too many episodes, but it isn't utterly annoying, like most of what's
on Disney Channel. The episodes I have seen, something usually goes
wrong with a replacement. In "Kumquat Day" Riley replaces the
highstrung mailman with a sloth in order to recover an embarrassing
card and she still has to go to great lengths to retreve it. It reminds
me a bit of Nick's "The Fairly OddParents." I get a bit confused by
Riley's mannerisms and her age, they don't seem to match up. But it's
cute.

Sure it isn't the best cartoon in the world. I did get used to the
animation of Disney feature length cartoons. But it isn't what I'm
concerned about when it comes to cartoons. This just happens to be its
style. Do you remember how bad your jokes were when you were in
elementary school? Some of what is done is corny, but this was made for
kids, not like the ones I grew up watching - the ones that were shown
at the cinema then on TV. I watch this with my son. This is pretty good
if we use what we learn from it. So the kids think they can improve on
every situation by getting the best adult/replacement they think they
need. Yet in most instances another replacement, the original person,
or one or both of the parents is needed to help straighten out the
mess. A lesson is learned by the kid(s); sometimes, everyone learns a
lesson. Moral: sometimes the best person for the job may not be the
best for the job or for you.

What can I say, this cartoon in on early in the morning and sends me
straight back to sleep.
I'm in my late teens now yet I still love cartoons! Being a cartoon on
in the weekend morning I lye in bed trying to give this series a
chance, yet as I stated before, I fall asleep (often resulting in me
missing something good on afterwards).
What you need to know... Two orphans (little is known of their past)
somehow wind up connected to these sort of surrogate parents (Stunt man
and Secret agent) who could make great characters, yet fail to down to
the entire cartoons lackadaisical; structure, enthusiasm, character
personality, storyline, background art and entertainment value.
This series could do with many improvements, yet on the plus side,
their are many great voice actors.

i hate this show! this show is one of my tie breakers in my "Most Hated
Show List." One of the shows is "Yakity Yak" which showed on Nick for
so short and "Mucha Lucha." O my gosh those shows were horrible!they
make fairly odd parents look good. If they made a movie it would be a
waste of money. Currently i sprained my ankle and compared to watching
the replacements it was less painful. To me, they should cancel this
show, but for now, all parents, block this show! Disney why did you
disappoint us so? You know, to all the people i know who watched this
show you'd better replace this show. After all this is the name of the
show. I don't care if i don't make sense just don't watch it.

It truly is one of the worst cartoons Disney has put out in years. I
could be okay, but Disney needs to work on these animated shows.
I mean, not only is it unfunny, it's so dumb, every time I watch this
show I get very mad, because it is so bad. I mean, who wants to watch a
show that is unfunny and unneeded.
The show is about Todd and Riley Daring, who have the ability to call a
replacement hot line and change out any adult in their world. What is
this supposed to give to kids? With the push of a button you can avoid
your problems? I don't think so.
Coming from a kid, I have to say, it is really bad.
