Townshend candidly refers to his arrest on child pornography charges and we hear how Daltrey supported him - something I have always admired. But then Bill Curbishley says that he was "villified for months" (correct, and unfair on Townshend) "and then they decided there was nothing to charge him with". Not true. Townshend accepted a caution, therefore by definition there must have been sufficient evidence to charge. Because of his good record and the relatively minor nature of the offence he was offered, and accepted, a caution. He could have denied any wrongdoing and had his day in court. He didn't. He seems to have dealt with it and doesn't need tub-thumpers trying to give the impression he did nothing wrong.
