A very charming and sometimes funny movie about teenagers at high
school, I found this piece very engaging, mainly because it brought so
many memories flooding back. The agonies of fitting in, of approval, of
being 'cool', NOT being a jerk, and most importantly of all, the
agonies of dispensing with virginity.
It includes many staples of the teen movie genre - the coolest and most
fancied boy in school, convertible cars, the local hip hangout, and of
course the geeky boy who ends up being the one with depth and
intelligence. It's shot in a zappy style as suits the genre and
audience, but not so much that it becomes a distraction.
Short and sweet (83mins), it ticks along at a zappy pace, albeit at the
expense of some character development, and there are moments that feel
a bit predictable and contrived, but overall this film has a sharpness
and edge so sorely lacking in the standard fare produced by Hollywood.

I enjoyed this film very much! it's a heartfelt account of a
16-year-old girl, Bea, she's the last in her group of friends who is
still a virgin. And of course she's thinking a lot about sex, why is it
her who hasn't done it yet...
Her girl friends set her up with an older boy (because, as they say,
you shouldn't have sex for the first time with someone you love), and
that guy, Anders, seems a bit aloof at first but the two understand
each other well. On the other hand, Bea does have a crush on a very
handsome guy from the year above her, Daniel, who seems to find her
attractive too.
I feel that "Bare Bea" explains very well the feelings that go through
Bea's mind while she's trying to establish herself and that the film
portrays very naturally the feelings about sex and love that Bea
experiences in her relationships with Anders and with Daniel.

-Too silly for people over 12, too daring for kids under
12
A norwegian movie, trying to express how it really feels to be a teenager.
But doesnt,
I thought that the film mostly showed Bea's frustration in being the only
one at her age,
that havent had sexual intercourse, as said in the commercial trailer -
but
no.
The events in this film is silly and if you are young, you wont
familiarize
with this film.
This is clearly a film with the script written by a grownup.
You can predict the next scene in the film as you watch it, desperate
attempts of being
funny, well... I am not laughing.
Boring, predictable, unoriginal film.
Not worth the money.
