  • When Kermit is visiting the Electric Mayhem at an Irish gig, there is a sign in the place called "Doc Hopper's frog legs". Doc Hopper is the name of a character that wants Kermit to advertise his frog legs in The Muppet Movie (1979).

  • This film marks and first time that Janice speaks since the death of Richard Hunt (another of Hunt's characters, Scooter, had a line in _Muppets From Space (1999)_, which was voiced by his brother 'Adam Hunt').

  • The plaque on Kermit's statue reads in part "For the lovers, the dreamers, and you." These words were taken from the lyrics of "The Rainbow Connection" sung by Kermit in The Muppet Movie (1979).

  • Yoda from the Star Wars (1977) movies makes a brief cameo.

  • 'Jerry Nelson' was sick during the production of this film so his characters were either dubbed later (Robin, Statler, Pops) or performed by another puppeteer ('Bill Barretta' performs Lew Zealand).

  • Jerry Nelson was sick during some of the production of this film, and only was able to spend limited time performing (he performed a lot of his Statler scenes, and some Robin scenes), some scenes were dubbed (Pops, the Announcer and Floyd were all dubbed), or performed by someone else (Bill Barretta performs Lew Zealand).

  • This is the first Muppet movie where Eric Jacobson does Frank Oz's roles of Fozzie, Piggy and Animal. (Sam The Eagle is performed by Kevin Clash). Frank Oz has been inactive in the Muppets lately to pursue directing.

  • When on the auditorium in the Muppet theater, this is the seating that the Muppets sat in. (From left to right) Row 1: Camilla the chicken, Beaker, Bunsen Hunnydew, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Janice, Sam the Eagle and Scooter. Row 2: Dr. Teeth, Swedish Chef, Beuregard, Rowlf, a chicken, Rizzo the rat, Lew Zealand, Johnny Fiamo, Sal Manilla. Row 3: A sheep, an un-named frog, Floyd Pepper, Animal, The Circ Du So Lame worker, Bobo the bear, Zoot, an un-named hippie Muppet, Crazy Harry. Row 4: Sweetums.

  • In the scene where Daniel (David Arquette) is sitting at his cubicle in heaven, there's a photo in a frame on his desk. The photo is of Courtney Cox, David Arquette's wife.

  • Jon Stewart was to make a cameo as himself but his scenes were deleted.

  • Snoop Dogg filmed a cameo appearance but his scene was deleted. In an interview with Kermit the Frog on "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" (1999), Kermit stated that because of Snoop's involvement in Doggystyle (2001) (V) it was considered inappropriate to have him appear in a Muppet movie.

  • Steve Whitmire, who was beginning to perform Statler around this time, puppeteered him while his current performer, Jerry Nelson, was out sick. Nelson later looped Statler's lines, but one of them ("Historical landmark!") remained unlooped, and therefore, on that line, Whitmire's voice, not Nelson's, is heard in the final cut.
