• Continuity: During the chase to the Governor's mansion, the road switches between wet and dry.
  
  
• Continuity: When Steve gets sprayed with the fire extinguisher he is wearing a pair of khakis and a sweater but when we see him a while later he is still sprayed but wearing blue jeans and a jacket. Later still, he is back to the original outfit.
  
  
• Continuity: When Steve and Mike are driving after the NO2 has been leaking and the police car is trying to pull then over, it goes to a shot of Steve's face and you can see the window is slightly rolled down. Then it goes to a shot of the policeman behind them and back to the same shot of Steve's face and the window is rolled back up.
  
  

• Continuity: As the tape deck shorts out and resumes on the race to Tracy's campaign headquarters, the scenery through the car window switches abruptly.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Mike is being dragged behind a car by his tie in the grocery store parking lot, the harness that he's wearing is visible in close ups.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: While Mike and Steve are trying to remove the bat from the cabin using the sheet, Mike yells "Oh my God - it touched my hand!" However, as he's saying this, the bat is on Steve's side of the sheet - not even close to Mike.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Obvious stunt double when Mike swings off the vine into the lake.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Obvious stunt double when Mike flies out of the cabin after the boulder hits it.
  
  
• Continuity: When the boulder hits the cabin, the refrigerator moves forward, along with everything else, and the door flies open. When Mike and Steve walk back inside the cabin, the refrigerator door is magically closed.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Obvious stunt double when when Mike is being dragged by the airplane.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Mike gets his thumbs "stuck" under the hood, you can see his left hand move before the hood is released.
  
  
• Factual errors: When the snakes are brought up out of the well, you hear rattles, yet none of them are rattlesnakes.
  
  
• Continuity: When Gov. Tracy is filming her commercial in front of the Governor's house, there is no camera crew up near the driveway or by the grass in the wide shot. When they "cut" the filming crew is right at the driveway, they were not that close at all in the beginning of the shot.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mike grabs onto the plant while rolling down the hill, the leaflet that he is also holding disappears between shots.
  
  
• Plot holes: While it may be easy to prove that dead people are still on the voter rolls, there is no way to prove which candidate they voted for.
  
  
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): As Mike Donnelly is reading the names of Drake Sabitch's forefathers at the inauguration, he says one relative died at Iwo Jima in 1944. The battle of Iwo Jima was February to March 1945.
  
  
• Continuity: Mike's hair when he begins to leave the room in which he was smoking with the Jamaicans. While leaving, his hair is done. In the next shot, as he actually leaves the room, his hair is a mess.
