Trivia:
The real species called Velociraptor was much smaller (about turkey-sized) than the animals in the film and were believed to have been feathered. They were part of bipedal, bird-like predators of the family Dromaeosauridae, some of which were even larger than the "velociraptors" in the film.

Goofs:
Revealing mistakes: When Dilophosaurus spits on Nedry the second time, you can see smoke coming in from off-camera on the left side of the screen. The smoke originated from a special effects gun used to fire the fake venom.

I was astonished when I watched this film!!!!!!It was SO GOOD!!!!!!The dinosaurs in this film look more realistic than any other prehistoric film ,or even some movie that don't focus on dinosaurs, that has ever been made!!!!The acting was splendid, and aside from how wonderful the creatures look, they were so vicious and exciting as well.I will have to say that one really huge reason I loved this movie, was because of the special effects!!I have never seen another movie with better effects than this one,EVER!!!!I am sure none of these horrible effects dinosaur movies that have been coming out lately,(Eden Formula,Raptor Island),could ever live up to the greatness of Jurassic Park.I am always going to love Jurassic Park. There is no reason anyone shouldn't!!
