'The Big Bang Theory' Takes on "The Barbarian Sublimation" Tonight

6 October 2008 12:00 AM, PDT | From buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news

Last week on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory, we saw Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) end their relationship, while Leslie Winkle (Sarah Gilbert) made a move on Leonard and proposed to revisit their relationship.  Leonard on the other hand, sent Sheldon (Jim Parsons) out of the apartment so that he could have some private time with Leslie, whom Sheldon doesn’t like.  Penny returned in time to see Leonard and Leslie and they both fueled the fire of jealousy by making out with their respective partners.

Tonight on The Big Bang Theory, antics ensue as Sheldon introduces Penny to online gaming.

Created and executively produced by Chuck Lorre and Billy Prady, The Big Bang Theory follows two exceptionally smart physicists Leonard and Sheldon, who live across the hall from blonde bombshell Penny.  The show is one of today’s most successful sitcoms and stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco.

Grammer rules out 'Frasier' movie

3 October 2008 10:35 AM, PDT | From Digitalspy | See recent digitalspy news

Kelsey Grammer has ruled out the possibility of a Frasier movie. The actor, whose new sitcom Back To You was cancelled earlier this year, says he does not want the show to follow in the footsteps of The X Files and Sex And The City. "I hope not - it's just bound to be a failure," he said. "I like them on television. I even like Sex And The City on television. I know it had great success. "But stylistically, the way it's shot, you could kind of buy that it could be a film. It wasn't such (more)

Grammer Rules Out Career In Politics

27 September 2008 7:20 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Actor Kelsey Grammer will never fulfill his dream of running for the White House - because he couldn't cope with the extra publicity.

The Frasier star already struggles to deal with the daily interest from the world's media following his heart attack in June.

And Grammer fears he would attract more attention if he became a politician.

He says, "I have (thought about running for office) but my devotion to my family, my wife and to their privacy has over-ruled that desire. My privacy isn't an issue but it.s become a very mean world. The internet has not made the world a better place, it.s made it a meaner place."

Grammer Blames Diet For Heart Attack

26 September 2008 8:57 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Kelsey Grammer has blamed his recent heart attack on his bad diet.

The Frasier star suffered a mild cardiac arrest in June while paddle boarding in Hawaii.

And the actor has blamed his poor eating habits for the health scare.

He says, "The heart attack wasn't anticipated. I had gained a little bit of weight and had started an 'I'm going to lose all my weight in one day' exercise programme. That wasn't wise.

"There are actual steps I can take to fix things, so it's not that bad. My doctor said: 'You're not dying of cancer, you don't have a brain tumour, this is going to get better'. His bedside manner was pretty funny."

Grammer Receives Death Threats

24 September 2008 5:09 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Former Frasier star Kelsey Grammer has received a string of death threats over his political views.

The actor - who is a staunch supporter of America's Republican Party - admits he is often targeted by members of the public who are unhappy about his outspoken opinions.

He says, "I've had death threats, stuff like that - mostly for my political views. They say 'I should kill you'.

"I do think people are entitled to different opinions but one of them was really adamant about it. It was about ten years ago. I'm trying to remember what it was that they were upset about. It was an odd thing from a weird person."

And Grammer insists that he has also been victimised for his religious beliefs.

He adds, "I'm a Christian Scientist but I'm not a full blown practising one. I actually visit doctors and I do take medication.

"But a lot of the principles of my approach to faith are rooted in that, which is pretty much mind over matter - if you want to reduce it to one thing."

A few days ago we saw another fresh episode of Eureka, brought to us by the Sci-Fi Network.  We saw Zoe (Jordan Hinson) in a busy haze for the mayoral race, thus leaving her science lab partner to accidentally create another sun.  We also saw Sheriff Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) and Zane Donovan (Niall Matter) don themselves with some protective gear to literally put out the sun.

While we aren’t bringing you a sneak peek into next week’s episode of Sci-Fi’s Eureka, we do have some good news for Eureka fans out there who are just eager for a show of the same genre.  In fact, the network recently announced that they are working on a new series which will serve as a companion show for the already successful Eureka.

Grammer + Costner Sued Over Swing Vote Script

8 August 2008 12:06 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

A screenwriter is suing Hollywood actors Kelsey Grammer and Kevin Costner - alleging the script for their new movie Swing Vote was based on his work.

Bradley Blakeman filed a lawsuit in New York on Thursday claiming the film was based on his script for Go November, which he claims to have sent "in confidence" to Grammer in spring 2006.

Blakeman has named the former Frasier star in the suit, along with Costner and moviemakers Disney and Touchstone Pictures, according to papers obtained by TMZ.com.

The writer claims his script featured a "unique 'down to the wire' presidential election, hinging on swing voters" - closely resembling the plot of the newly released comedy.

Grammer's representative Stan Rosenfield has hit out at the claims, insisting the actor had no influence on the new movie's script.

He says, "I am not sure why Kelsey was even named in this suit. He was an actor who signed on to the project After the script was written."

This week's offerings find twilight twenty-somethings longing for love in Los Angeles, "The Mummy" franchise heading East and a gruesome subway slasher trying very hard not to scare people clean out of the theater, at least not before the movie actually starts.

At 12, Gerren Taylor was a bright young model who strolled the catwalk of Fashion Week in Los Angeles. By 13, she was considered a has-been. Director Darryl Roberts traces Taylor's early entrance and exit from the runway to paint a far larger picture of the inner workings of the fashion industry, examining the class system of models and the advertisers and designers who relentlessly manufacture a feeling of negative self-image among consumers and then prey upon it to get us to dip into our wallets. Brave Grammar Fought The Pain Of Heart Attack

25 July 2008 10:40 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Actor Kelsey Grammar discovered he has a high tolerance level for pain after trying to brush off a heart attack.

The Frasier star eventually 'died' in hospital but was resuscitated by medics - and now lives to talk about the experience.

Grammar recalls his health scare started while he was relaxing at his home in Hawaii on 31 May - and he tried to brush off the excruciating chest pain as nothing more than a passing ailment.

He says, "The pain threshold thing has no real value for me. I don't acknowledge pain, I'm not supposed to and so I'm sitting there going, 'Breathe... I'll get through it.'

"It felt like somebody was trying to tear my chest apart.

"I did think, 'I've got to hang on, there's too much junk I've got to take care of. I've got to take care of my family; my kids are six and three, I can't be doing this to them.'"

Eventually, his wife realised the actor was in trouble and called for an ambulance. Ninety minutes later, Grammar 'died' at a Kona hospital.

Grammer's Spirit Brought Him Back From The Dead

24 July 2008 6:33 PM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Kelsey Grammer's inner spirit kept him alive after his heart attack in May by begging the spirits who had come to claim the actor to let him be.

The former Frasier star has a vivid memory of everything that happened when his heart stopped in a Kona, Hawaii hospital and he briefly 'died'.

In his first candid interview since the health scare on 31 May, Grammer tells U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight he was so convinced he was dying, he said good-bye to his wife Camille.

He recalls, "Camille was patting my head and she said, 'That's when you looked up at me and said, 'I'm going now,' and then off I went."

But something down deep kept the actor alive - and he heard his spirit talking to those on the other side.

He explains, "As I lay there dying, I (inner spirit) said to them, 'Please, I cannot do this. I don't wanna see anything, I don't wanna see any light. I don't wanna have any little adventures that make me wanna get out of this life. I wanna finish this life.'

"And so, when I went down, I saw nothing. When I came to... the only voice that came to me was, 'The light is here.'"

Grammer feels lucky to be alive after learning just how close he came to death.

He adds, "(My doctor) said, 'You know, guys in your position, 15 per cent make it - so you're lucky you're out of here.' So I'm really glad I'm here."
