Trivia:

Hawkeye occasionally mentions a sister (even sporting an oversized sweater she'd knitted him) during the first few seasons, and asks his father in a letter to "kiss Mom and Sis" for him. However, Hawkeye later related that he'd been an only child, that his mother died when he was a boy, and that his father had never remarried.

Goofs:

Revealing mistakes: Two sets of the camp were built, one in the outdoors, and one within a studio. This is apparent in numerous episodes when the characters are standing "outside" in broad daylight, but each cast member has numerous shadows as a result of studio lights shining in different directions, as well as an echo within the studio that is not audible on the outdoor set.

The greatest war sitcom

"M*A*S*H" was the most successful TV show inspired by a movie. It ran for eleven years and viewers were still watching the sitcom when it was about to leave the air in 1983. I enjoyed the last episode just like every other viewer who saw it. The movie may have been a hit, but the series is unforgettable.
