Hollywood actress Eva Mendes has admitted to a massive crush on Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
The Hitch star insists she became a big fan of the British rock band in the 1990s, before shooting to fame herself.
And Mendes' love for the group, and Gallagher in particular, still affects her to the present day.
She says, "Before I was an actress, when Oasis were really hot in America, I went to LA to see them play.
"I had a crush on Liam Gallagher. I got backstage and met him. But I was so in awe of him, I couldn't say anything. He just looked at me as if I was dumb.
"Just thinking about it now makes me break out in a cold sweat."

Will Smith's box office power is well documented: His last eight movies have earned over $100 million each, and his last three - I Am Legend, The Pursuit of Happyness, and Hitch - have earned $1.25 billion worldwide. Right now, he's hotter than ever...and he has the whole weekend to himself.
Of course, Hancock was originally supposed to open on Friday, but they pushed back the release date within the past few days, so the movie officially opened Wednesday. Except that there were paid sneaks on Tuesday night. So...as of right now, Hancock has already made $24 million and change. That's not a bad number, but I don't get the move from an unopposed Friday to Tuesday night in the first place. All the move does is reward people who were really paying attention. Most people wouldn't go to a new movie on Tuesday anyway, because they're just not trained to.

Anne Thompson at Variety has a great article about movie stars and their box office reliability. That's a big topic in the middle of summer. Launching giant event movies is easier when you know people love your star. Her thesis is that some actors reach a point where they can do no wrong, that even if Will Smith made a bunch of hideous movies, audiences would still respond positively because he's in what Thompson calls The Fluke Zone.
As it happens, Smith hasn't made a bunch of hideous movies, and it's untrue that most major movie stars do. I would say that Nicolas Cage and Julia Roberts probably have the most litter on their lawns in that department, but Tom Cruise, an in-his-prime Harrison Ford, and even Arnold Schwarzenegger rarely made tremendous mistakes. We're talking something catastrophic of the Love Guru vintage. They've all been in bad movies,

American actor Will Smith credits Charlize Theron with making him a better comic actor.
The star made his name as a joker in hit TV series The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, and has appeared in comedies including Hitch and Men In Black, but insists working alongside the Academy Award winner on new big screen comedy Hancock helped change his approach to humour.
He says, "When you're sitting across from an Academy Award-winning actress it pulls you back into the sweet spot for the comedy.
"That level of perfection as a dramatic actress sharpens the quality of the comedy."
