In Season 3, Episode 1 "Family", why does Det. Vera refer to the new detective, Josie Sutton, as parachuting in from Texas? There are several references during the episodes with her character stating that she transferred from a different precinct of Philly PD due to a scandal.In Season 1, Episode 12 "Glued", Lt. Stillman mentions that his daughter was born while he was working the Tim Barnes case in 1980, putting her in her mid 20's, yet in Season 2, Episode 16 "Revenge" his daughter, Janie, mentions being 18 nearly 20 years ago, putting her in her late 30's. Is this a goof, or does he have more than one daughter?
In Season 5, Episode 8 "World's End", Lt. Stillman mentions driving around with his wife and kids the night of Orsen Welle's 'War of the Worlds' broadcast, in 1938. Shouldn't that be a little before his time?

The most attractive part to Cold Case is the fact that the Filmography is a great indicator of what moment of the story you are living in. The full present day during the Episode uses a low saturation method which makes the actual scene look Cold. The flashback scenes are usually tinted or in black and white depending on time and circumstance. Kathryn Morris plays her part with no concession and use of the skin-tones created by the filmography her Lilly white skin suites her character name. Her Character name inherits the Cold of the White Lilly. So you have stand back and look at each episode as a character in itself.
