Sarandon Stunned By Facebook Impostor
Susan Sarandon has warned fans not to be fooled by a profile attributed to the actress on social networking site Facebook.com, because she has no idea how to turn on a computer, let alone set up an online webpage.
The Oscar winner, 63, was baffled to learn an impostor had been communicating with her fans on the website, but she insists she has nothing to do with the profile because she's useless when it comes to technology.
She says, "No, I don't have a Facebook page. It must be when I'm sleeping because I don't know how to turn on a computer! Who is me? They're much better than I am!"
Sarandon admits she has only recently learned how to use the text messaging function on her cell phone because her sons refused to respond to her any other way.
She explains, "I only started texting recently because they wouldn't answer when I called them! So now I can text but my office has to bring me my emails, I don't do any of those other things! I didn't want to be a secretary so I never learned to type." »
McCarthy Dreamed She Left Carrey At The Altar
1 hour ago
Actress Jenny McCarthy is so against the idea of wedding her longtime boyfriend Jim Carrey, she dreamed she'd jilted him at the altar.
The model-turned-actress has been dating Carrey for four years and the couple has been living together since 2008.
But the former Playboy model insists she has no plans to exchange vows with The Mask star because she already considers herself "married" - and she would only ever rethink her decision for financial purposes.
She says, "I had a dream last night that I left him at the altar because I don't want to get married. We are married, we don't need a piece of paper. Maybe one day (we'll marry), when I'm 80 and I need a tax write off!"
McCarthy was previously married to actor/director John Mallory Asher, with whom she has a son, Evan. The couple filed for divorce in 2005 after six years as husband and wife.
Carrey is a double divorcee - he split from first wife Melissa Womer in 1995 after eight years of marriage, and went on to wed his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly in 1996. They split less than a year later. »

Jackson Planning Dragon TV Series?
Director Peter Jackson is rethinking plans to turn dragon adventure books Temeraire into a money-spinning movie franchise, because he's convinced the stories would be better told as a TV series.
The King Kong filmmaker purchased the rights to author Naomi Novik's fantasy novels in 2006 with a view to turning the stories into movies. Five of the books have already been released, while Novik has promised a further four tales to wrap up the series.
But Jackson is having second thoughts about the daunting project and could take Temeraire to the small screen instead.
He tells movie website AintItCool.com, "I can't see any degree of common sense in trying to mount them one at a time as feature films. To me the stories, having read the first ones, already work as this continuing, on-going saga, so I'm thinking 'Is there a marketplace out there yet for a large budget mini-series?'
"...I'm thinking is there actually a market out there that'd give us the budget to do this properly and allow us to shoot this as a six, seven or eight part series where we have freedom, we have great production values and are able to tackle it as the epic saga that it deserves?" »
Stamos' Rep: 'Extortionists Had Photos With Fans'
Two people arrested for attempting to blackmail actor John Stamos only possessed photos of the star "posing with fans", according to his spokesman.
The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested two Michigan residents on 2 December after they allegedly threatened to release the snaps of the ER star unless he handed over $680,000 (£425,000).
Stamos went to authorities and helped them snare alleged extortionists Allison Coss, 23, and Scott Sippola, 30, in a sting, according to an affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun.
According to the document, the actor attended a Florida party in 2004 with Coss and her pal when the pictures in question were taken. He received an email in November from an unknown source threatening to "harm (Stamos') reputation" by releasing the shots to the media, at which point the star's lawyer contacted the FBI.
But Stamos' rep has stepped in to clarify the nature of the images: "The photos in question are photos of John posing with fans. At the conclusion of the investigation and hearing, the photos will be available and the public will be able to see that the photos are simply John posing with fans."
Coss and Sippola were released on bond on 3 December. The case is still pending. »
Thurman Not Romancing Pattinson
A spokesperson for Uma Thurman has denied reports she has been romancing Robert Pattinson since splitting from her fiance Arpad Busson.
News of Thurman's broken engagement to the Swiss businessman hit the headlines on Tuesday, and prompted gossips and bloggers to start speculating that her new beau Pattinson - the actress' co-star in the upcoming Bel Ami - was behind the break-up.
A spokesperson for the Kill Bill star has confirmed she parted ways with Busson two months ago - but insists she won't meet with the Twilight star until they begin filming the drama next year.
The rep tells GossipCop.com, "That is actually funny. Uma hasn't even been in the same room as Pattinson."
Thurman will play a wealthy woman who is seduced by Pattinson's younger character in the movie, an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's 1885 novel. »
Another Hilton Hit By Burglars
The Hilton family has been hit by another burglary nightmare just months after socialite Paris Hilton's home was targeted by Hollywood's teenage 'bling-ring' robbers.
This time, her sister Nicky was the victim of a raid, in which thieves took her laptop and Lalique crystal collection.
Cops were called to Hilton's Hollywood Hills home on Tuesday.
Her sister reclaimed many of the belongings the burglary gang took from her home after police hauled in the culprits.
It is not known if the two Hilton burglaries are connected.
Paris Hilton 'tweeted' about the robbery on her Twitter.com website, writing, "Her house just got robbed, so messed up."
She added, "I Hate people who steal! It’s so wrong! I hope they catch whoever did this! There has (sic) been so many robberies lately. So scary!" »

The porn star won the chance to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with her daughter by James, five-year-old Sunny, but a judge refused to expand her overnight visits with the child.
Lindemulder has weekly visitation rights with her daughter but only during daylight hours.
James and his wife Sandra Bullock won full custody of Sunny in January after Lindemulder was jailed for tax evasion. »
Cage's Ex-wife Sues Over House Sale
Nicolas Cage's ex-wife Christina Fulton is suing the actor and his former business manager for allegedly wrecking her house sale plans.
According to the suit, filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles and obtained by TMZ.com, Fulton claims Cage bought her a house in Los Angeles in 2001 in return for her giving up her acting career to take care of the couple's son Weston.
But when she attempted to sell the property earlier this year she realised it wasn't hers to sell - Cage had reportedly never transferred the title.
Fulton also claims that Cage served her with a 60-day notice to vacate the premises in September and blames her ex-husband's former business manager, Sam Levin, for leaving her with a $1 million (£625,000) tax debt on the property.
In the lawsuit, Fulton also alleges "mental, physical and emotional abuse" but fails to expand on her claims.
Cage's lawyer, Marty Singer, insists the lawsuit is "an absurd claim," adding, "All of these claims are long-time barred by the statute of limitations and are baseless... We expect this lawsuit to be promptly thrown out."
Singer tells People.com, "This lawsuit is ridiculous... Nicolas Cage has given her approximately three million every year for many years, even though he was only obligated to pay her six thousand a month in child support." »
