Growing up, Allen Haff watched a lot of television on Michigan snow days. He realized his passion for hosting while watching Bob Barker on The Price is Right. With a wink Allen explains it this way, "Uncle Bob had a constant tan, he was a charming host and plus he reminded us to spay and neuter our pets. What could be better than that? Unless you are the pet of course. Maybe we should spay and neuter Uncle Bob?"
After graduating with a degree in journalism, Allen left Michigan for sunny Los Angeles to make his childhood dreams a reality. He demonstrated some Bob Barker charm while co-hosting Clean House on Style Network for four seasons. He went on to host HGTV's My House is Worth What? Recently, prior to hosting America's Cutest Puppy, he appeared on The Modern Girl's Guide, E! News Live and various other programs.
Allen supports and has volunteered with several LA based animal rescue groups including Cat Connection, Feral Cat Society and the Much Love Animal Rescue. "I have a rescue card that allows me to foster animals scheduled to be killed by city shelters until we can find them a good home." Three dogs and at least as many cats have been adopted by Allen himself. Hundreds of unwanted animals have found new homes through his efforts. "Agents aside, I never met an animal I didn't like." Bob Barker should be proud.
