Christina Sings For Trump, Dubai, Orlando and More

25 August 2008 6:01 AM, PDT | From Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news

Donald Trump threw yet another party to celebrate his future Trump Tower Dubai, only this time the festivities took place Saturday night in Los Angeles. He paid Christina Aguilera to come out and perform for the crowd, which included the likes of Orlando Bloom, Kate Walsh, and Lucy Liu. Hayden Panettiere looked sassy in her leopard print mini dress, and even talked to the reporters about the recent trouble with her family, reiterating to Extra that it was all blown out of proportion and even saying that it was all about the sheriff wanting "his 15 minutes of fame." Ouch. Of course, the man of the hour, Mr. Trump himself, was there to give himself congratulations on the project that is years from complete, but that sounds about par for the course with him. To see more from the party including Aaron Eckhart, Ali Larter, Donald Trump Jr, Pete Wentz and

21 August 2008 12:05 AM, PDT | From Rope Of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news

Photo: AnimEigo Back in 2003 when I fell in love with Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume One one thing I found out about the film was that Tarantino had based a lot of it on the 1973 revenge film Lady Snowblood from director Toshiya Fujita. Ever since then I had wanted to watch it just to see what it was all about and how it inspired one of my favorite Tarantino films. Flash forward five years and I have finally watched it, and loved every minute of it. I am telling you, if you are a fan of Kill Bill, especially Volume One, this is a film you have to watch. As you will see throughout this article I have put together a few visual comparisons, some that are eerily similar, but there is more than just the visual style of the film and how it influenced some of the

Liu: 'Pay For Tap Water To Help African Kids'

19 March 2008 6:32 PM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Kill Bill star Lucy Liu is calling on Americans to pay $1 (50 pence) for tap water in restaurants to help save children's lives in Africa.

Liu, a United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) ambassador, has just returned from Cote d'Ivoire in Africa, where she witnessed the threat to child survival caused by a lack of clean drinking water.

And now the actress is encouraging people to pay for the tap water they'd normally get for free during World Water Week this week (begs17Mar08) - to help raise $1 million (GBP500,000) to provide African children with purified water.

Liu says, "If you go to a restaurant and they'd give you tap water for free, they're asking you to donate a dollar for the tap water.

"One dollar will provide water for 40 children for one day, which is incredible. It's kind of great - you get to go out and enjoy food with people and you get to give back in such a small and simple way."

More than 2,000 restaurants across the U.S. have signed up to participate in World Water Week.

Actress Lucy Liu was left terrified during a recent flight when a drunk man charged down the plane towards the cockpit.

Liu was returning to the U.S. from Cote d'Ivoire in Africa, where the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) ambassador witnessed the threat to child survival caused by a lack of clean drinking water - when the incident took place.

The Kill Bill star was drifting off to sleep when she was awoken by the sound of people running, followed by a midair brawl.

She recalls, "We took a night flight from Africa back. In the middle of the flight back - everyone's asleep - all of a sudden you hear... people running down the aisle. Somebody had run from the coach class, and apparently had had too much to drink, and was tackled.

"You couldn't see anything because it was totally dark and they were behind the curtain (dividing partitions of the plane). And you see just arms and legs and screaming. There were six stewards that had to take down this guy.

"It was terrifying because you don't know what's going on.."
