The Emmys brought out some gorgeous gowns to the red carpet on Sunday, but a few stars got equally fancy for the Metropolitan Opera 125th Season Opening Night Gala in NYC last night. Helena Christensen and Christie Brinkley showed they haven't lost any of their model beauty, while Parker Posey went a little funkier with her big bow. Jenny Humphrey was being bullied at school on last night's episode of Gossip Girl, but in real life Taylor Momsen was looking very grown up and almost unrecognizable in her dramatic red ruffles. While the opera singers were the focus of the night, the ladies in the audience definitely managed to steal a little of the attention away for themselves. Some of our favorite small screen actors — and at least one high profile TV guest star — stepped out at Madison Square Garden last night for Dave Matthews Band's concert as part of the Stand Up For A Cure series. Fresh from a day filming Ugly Betty Lindsay Lohan posed on the red carpet before watching Samantha Ronson DJ the pre-show. Julia Roberts introduced the main act to an audience including some of the Gossip Girl kids like Chace Crawford, Jessica Szohr and Nicole Fiscella, as well as the always-endearing Damien Fahey among others. While I imagine big events like this are still bittersweet for the band who recently lost a member, they performed the night away to raise money for lung cancer research. Yesterday at New York Fashion Week some familiar front row faces hit the tents joined by newcomers to catch all the different shows. Jessica Alba looked glamorous even without baby Honor alongside Claire Danes and Julianna Margulies at Narciso Rodriguez, while Kelly Osbourne was full of smiles at Betsey Johnson. Natalie Portman went from the courts to the runways hitting up Derek Lam and was also spotted at Rodarte. Fab was particularly smitten with the Max Azria collection where Kim Raver, Malin Akerman, and Michelle Trachtenberg were front and center. There are a few days left of Bryant Park fun, so stay tuned for more of the gorgeous stars watching beautiful clothes. Keep up on everything we are blogging here, and don't forget to check out Fab and Bella's coverage as the week continues. To see lots more from the shows including Natalie Portman, Malin Akerman, Petra Nemcova, Julia Stiles,

Producers of hit medical drama ER have confirmed Anthony Edwards will be returning to the TV show for a guest appearance.
Edwards - one of the original stars of the NBC series - was written out in May 2002, with his character Dr. Mark Greene dying from a brain tumour.
But the actor is now set to film new scenes for the upcoming 15th season of ER, which is due to air next year.
It is thought Edwards' appearance will be contained within flashback sequences.
Another original cast member set to make a comeback in the final season is Noah Wyle, who will star in four episodes.
Edwards' return has fuelled speculation that George Clooney will also sign on for a cameo role. He left the regular cast in 1999 to pursue his movie career full time, returning in May 2000 for a guest slot to mark the departure of actress Julianna Margulies from the show after six seasons.

"Canterbury's Law" (7 p.m. Monday, Wfld-Ch. 32) is one of those shows that has you making comparisons almost from the first moment. The main character, Elizabeth Canterbury ( Julianna Margulies), is as unorthodox in her methods as Dr. Gregory House of Fox's "House." She drives a Porsche and likes to drink, like Grace Hanadarko of "Saving Grace." Like Patty Hewes of Fx's "Damages," she's a hard-driving lawyer who'll go to extreme lengths to win a case.
Though it's competently made and catches fire dramatically from time to time, "Canterbury's Law" doesn't have quite as much dramatic depth as those other shows do at their best.
All three programs are also anchored by deeply compelling actors, and though Margulies is up to the challenge of playing an edgy attorney, she doesn't have the guarded, interior quality that Hugh Laurie brings to "House" or the flinty intensity that Glenn Close gives Hewes on "Damages.

Actress Julianna Margulies credits her dentist with landing her the lead role in new U.S. TV drama Canterbury's Law.
The former E.R. star was visiting her New York dentist when she spotted Denis Leary in the waiting room and introduced herself to the actor.
And just one week later, Leary - who is an executive producer on Canterbury's Law - cast Margulies in the show's lead role - as a tough defence attorney.
She says, "My dentist is like my surrogate father, and I had no idea Denis goes to the same dentist. So I see him, I go up and say hi, and a week later, I realise I'm working for him. Ok, that's weird."
Leary adds, "I ran into her there (at the dentist), she was coming out, I was going in. I was a big admirer of her work, and we chatted for five minutes. She was funny and sweet."
