Questions for HDTV owners

I'm sure having a good refresh rate (120 mhz) is good for live events, sports or even video games.

However, I was watching a display at my local Best Buy and noticed that the movie (Disney's ENCHANTED on Blu-Ray) seemed to be moving at at a slightly accelerated rate. Maybe 30 frames per second instead of 24 the way film is supposed to be projected.

This wasn't an isolated incident. I saw an identical display at another BB and noticed the same thing.

Can something like that be adjusted on today's sets? Does Plasma or LCD make a difference?

Thanks for any help.

CP.
